Did you know that there is such a thing as World Bicycle Day?!

Since 2018, June 3rd has been set aside to recognise “the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle… a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport, fostering environmental stewardship and health.”

Here at Relocation France we are, naturally, eagerly anticipating Le Tour de France, which kicks off on Saturday 1st July, in Bilbao.

Our partners’ Burke Bros Moving Group are also looking forward to watching Le Tour. This time last year, Gary Burke Managing Director completed the 105-mile Wolverhampton to Aberdovey charity bike ride, raising £10,000 for local hospice Compton Care in the process.

If you’re a cycling enthusiast like Gary, and are thinking of relocating to (or buying another property in) France, have you considered what you’ll do with your beloved bike?

If you haven’t, you’re in luck, as Burke Bros have got all the solutions you’ll need. They’ve even got a wheelie special box made just for your bike!

In terms of insurance when transporting a bike to France, Burke Bros have got that ground covered, too. Insurance cover is available for up to £50,000 per shipment, so as long as the value of your bike(s) and other belongings in the shipment comes in at under £50,000, you are covered.
